How To Setup Windows Live Writer For Your WordPress Blog

Windows Live Writer is free utility from Microsoft that enables you to easily create, edit and publish your blog posts without logging in your blog’s admin panel.This utility is available for many blogging services like Typepad, Blogger, WordPress and many more. If you too want to install Windows Live Writer for your Blog , then follow the instructions below :-

Download & Install Live Writer

1.You can Download Windows Live Writer from below. Run the installer program you just downloaded. Its a Direct Setup so you do not need to install Windows Live Writer manually.Then Install the just Downloaded File.

2. Once setup starts,its time comes to configure it.The first step is just about nothing.Click next on the screen that you get.Choose “Other blog service” and click on next.

3. Before you do the next steps, the most important thing you have to do for installing live writer is enabling the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols. To enable this, go to Writing Tab of your blog and Check the box as shown image.

4. Its time tell the Writer something about your blog.You will get window as shown below. Enter the credentials in the fields provided.

5.Then it will process and fetch the information from your blog like recent posts published ny you and the Settings of your blog. It will take time to setup.

6. After the process and fetching completes, you will get your Windows Live Writer ready to use.It will look like as shown below. Just enter your Post Title and Post content in the box and publish it from Live Writer.You can setup and customize your Live Writer too as per your Requirements.
