1. Using the “&” Function


You can use the "&" function to combine 2 different text cells into 1 text in 1 cell. Here's how:


1. First, you must first open the Excel document which already contains the Place and Date of Birth that you want to combine. Here I use 3 columns, namely the first place column containing the name of the city, the second is the date of birth and the third is the place, date of birth. In the column Place, Date of Birth, later I will combine the text in the Place column and the text in the Date of Birth column in that column.

2. Click on the column Place, Date of Birth, and type the formula or syntax as shown in the picture. Note that A2 is the cell reference for the place column and B2 is the cell reference for the date of birth column. After typing the formula, click Enter. Then the result will look like in the image below.

3. To copy the formula from the first row in the column Place, Date of Birth, click on the first row and then type CTRL+C. After that Block all the columns that are under the first row. After that click Enter.
