Fix AutoPlay Not Working on Windows 11
If you are having trouble getting AutoPlay to work on your Windows 11 device, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the AutoPlay settings: Go to the Start menu and click on the "Settings" icon. In the Settings menu, click on the "Devices" category, and then click on the "AutoPlay" option. Make sure that the "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" option is turned on.
Check the device: Make sure that the device you are trying to use with AutoPlay, such as a USB drive or an external hard drive, is properly connected to your computer and is functioning correctly.
Check the device drivers: Sometimes, AutoPlay issues can be caused by outdated or faulty device drivers. To check for and update your device drivers, go to the Start menu and type "Device Manager" into the search box. In the Device Manager window, look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark next to them, which indicates a problem. Right-click on the device and select "Update driver" to try and fix the issue.
Restart your computer: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer can resolve AutoPlay issues. Try shutting down your computer and then turning it back on to see if that fixes the problem.
Reset AutoPlay: If none of the above steps have worked, you may need to reset AutoPlay to its default settings. To do this, go to the Start menu and type "cmd" into the search box. Right-click on the "Command Prompt" icon and select "Run as administrator." In the Command Prompt window, type "shell:Appsfolder" and press Enter. This will open the "Apps" folder, where you can find the AutoPlay application. Right-click on the AutoPlay application and select "Run as administrator." This will reset AutoPlay to its default settings.
Hopefully one of these steps will help fix the AutoPlay issue on your Windows 11 device. If you are still having trouble, you may want to try contacting Microsoft support for further assistance.
