A Brief History of Twitter
As we have explained, the people who contributed to founding Twitter include: Noah Glass, Jack Dorsey, Evan William, and Biz Stone. They founded Twitter on March 21, 2006.
Then the application was officially introduced on July 15, 2006. It was Jack Dorsey who actually introduced Twitter for the first time when he was in a discussion forum hosted by Odeo. Odeo was a podcast company that was quite popular at that time.
Jack Dorsey himself is actually an Odeo employee. Meanwhile, Biz Stone and Evan William are from Google. The first use of Twitter was for internal services only, which at that time was only used by Odeo employees. At the end of 2006, Evan Williams and also Biz Stone and other former Odeo employees managed to form a small company which they named Obvious Corp.
The company then acquired Odeo and all of its assets, including Twitter.com and Odeo.com. Furthermore, the company Obvious Corp stood alone in April 2007 under the name Twitter, inc. Since then Twitter has become widely known and used by everyone around the world with all the benefits and advantages that the application has.
