How to Overcome Server DNS Address Could Not Be Found

Geekers - When I was busy browsing, an error suddenly appeared saying DNS server address could not be found, even though my home internet had no problems and my cellphone connected to the same network was normal.

This error may appear due to a problem with the DNS servers of your ISP. For how to deal with the DNS server address could not be found, there are two methods that you can use, the first way is to configure the DNS server through the Network and Sharing Center and the second is by using commands via the command prompt. You can listen to the method as follows:

How to Overcome Server DNS Address Could Not Be Found

1. Configuring the DNS Server

1. First, enter the Network and Sharing Center by right-clicking the network icon at the bottom right of the desktop, then selecting Open Network and Sharing Center.

2. Then select Change adapter settings.

OpenDNS

Preferred DNS server : 208.67.222.222

Alternate DNS server : 208.67.220.220

By changing the DNS server as above, you should be able to solve the error server DNS address could not be found. But if it still doesn't work, use method number 2.

2. Using the Command Prompt Command

1. Open command prompt as administrator. Type command prompt in the search feature which is located on the lower left side of the desktop, then right click and select Run as administrator.

command prompt as admin command prompt as admin

2. Enter the commands below one by one. For example, first type ipconfig /flushdns then press Enter key. Then proceed with the second command and so on until Exit.

ipconfig /flushdns

ipconfig /registerdns

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

NETSH winsock reset catalog

NETSH int ipv4 reset reset. log

NETSH int ipv6 reset reset. log

Exit

enter command prompt command enter command prompt command

3. If so, restart your PC or laptop. And try browsing as usual and you will no longer see the DNS server address could not be found error appear again.

I've tried the first method and it works, but after a few minutes it reappears. After that I tried the second method and it worked too, even now the error doesn't reappear.

Even so, there's nothing wrong if you try the two methods above, who knows the first way will work and the second way will be the other way around. Good luck!
