Inserting Shapes in Microsoft Word: A Step-by-Step Guide

How To Add Shapes In Microsoft Word
To add a shape in Microsoft Word, follow these steps:

Open the Microsoft Word document where you want to add a shape.

Click on the "Insert" tab on the ribbon at the top of the document.

In the "Illustrations" group, click on the "Shapes" button.

A drop-down menu of shapes will appear. Select the desired shape from the list.

Once you have selected the shape, your cursor will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag on the document to draw the shape to the desired size.

Release the mouse button to insert the shape into your document.

You can then move, resize, or format the shape as desired. To do so, click on the shape to select it, then use the options in the "Format" tab on the ribbon to make changes to the shape.

Note: The steps above are for Microsoft Word on a Windows computer. The steps may be slightly different on a Mac or in other versions of Word.
