Sharing and Unsharing Folders on Windows 10: A Simple How-To Guide

Windows 10 How to Share/Unshare Folder
To share a folder on Windows 10, follow these steps:

Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder you want to share.
Right-click on the folder and select "Properties" from the context menu.
In the Properties window, go to the "Sharing" tab.
Click on the "Advanced Sharing" button.
In the Advanced Sharing window, check the box next to "Share this folder."
If you want to allow others to edit the contents of the shared folder, check the box next to "Allow editing."
Click on the "Permissions" button to set the permissions for the shared folder.
In the Permissions window, you can add or remove users and set the permissions for each user.
Click on "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes and close the Properties window.
To unshare a folder on Windows 10, follow these steps:

Open File Explorer and navigate to the shared folder.
Right-click on the folder and select "Properties" from the context menu.
In the Properties window, go to the "Sharing" tab.
Click on the "Advanced Sharing" button.
In the Advanced Sharing window, uncheck the box next to "Share this folder."
Click on "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes and close the Properties window.
Note: The steps above assume that you have already set up network sharing on your Windows 10 computer. If you have not, you will need to do that before you can share a folder. To set up network sharing, go to the "Network and Sharing Center" in the Control Panel and follow the on-screen instructions.
