A. How to Set Windows 7 Time and Date


Below are the steps to set the Time and Date in Windows 7


Way I


1. Open the Control Panel then click the Clock, Language, and Region icon as indicated by the arrow.

2. In the Clock, Language, and Region window, click Date and Time as indicated by the arrows.

3. Then, the Date and Time window will appear. To change the date and time, Â click the Change date and time button as indicated by the arrow.

4. After that, the Date and Time Settings window will appear, please adjust the date and time as indicated by the arrow.

5. Then, click OK.

6. You will be redirected back to the Date and Time window. Click OK as indicated by the arrow in the image to save changes.

Method II


Method I is a manual way to set the date and time on a PC. Well, if you don't want to change the date and time manually then you can synchronize your PC time with a global time server so that your date and time will be updated automatically.


However, you need an internet connection so that your date and time can be connected to a global time server. Here below are the steps.


1. Look again at step 3 in Method I, if previously the selected tab was Date and Time, then in this method, the tab that is clicked is Internet Time. Click Change settings as indicated by the arrow in the image.

2. After that, the Internet Time Settings window will appear. First, tick Synchronize with an Internet time server. Second, select the desired time server such as time.windows.com. Third, click the Update now button. Finally, click OK to save changes.

B. How to Set Windows 10 Time and Date


Method I: Manual


1. Open Settings on your laptop.


2. In the Settings window, click the Time & Language menu as indicated by the arrow in the image.

3. After that, the Date & time window will appear. In that window, make sure the Set time automatically menu is off as indicated by number 1. Then, click the Change button to change the time and date (designated by number 2).

4. Now you can set your date and time according to the actual clock. Click the Change button to save changes as indicated by the arrows in the image.

Method II: Global Time Synchronization


On Windows 10, to synchronize your time with global time, you only need to make Settings then click Time & Language. On the Date & time menu, click the Sync now button as indicated by the arrow in the image. The thing you need to remember is that this option requires an internet connection to run.
