Windows 10 DirectX Fix - Windows 7/8/10
DirectX is a set of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) developed by Microsoft for handling tasks related to multimedia, such as gaming, video, and audio, on the Windows operating system. It provides a set of low-level interfaces to hardware acceleration on modern graphics processing units (GPUs) and other hardware components, allowing developers to create high-performance multimedia applications and games.
In Windows 10, DirectX comes pre-installed and is automatically updated through Windows Update. You can check which version of DirectX is installed on your device by following these steps:
Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
Type "dxdiag" and press Enter.
The DirectX Diagnostic Tool (DxDiag) will open.
In the DxDiag window, click on the "System" tab.
The version of DirectX installed on your device will be listed under the "System Information" section.
Note: The version of DirectX installed on your device may vary depending on the version of Windows you are using and the hardware components of your device.
If you want to update DirectX to the latest version, you can do so by installing the latest updates for Windows through the Windows Update service. To check for updates, follow these steps:
Open the Start menu and click on the "Settings" icon.
In the Settings window, click on "Update & Security."
In the Update & Security window, click on the "Check for updates" button under the "Windows Update" section.
Windows will start checking for updates and will install any available updates, including any updates to DirectX.
Note: Updating DirectX through Windows Update is the recommended method for keeping it up to date. However, you can also download and install the latest version of DirectX manually from the Microsoft website if you prefer.
